My hunt club in Sussex County...


The land where we hunt there was a dead zone in the radar coverage from the beach area. Pilots would regularly run nap-of-the-earth evasion drills over the area regularly. You would get about 5-10 seconds of warning before they came screaming over the property, depending on where you were on their flight path. If you were right under them, it was ear shattering.

Once remember hearing them coming and looking up and could make out the pilots helmet and mask. Could have sworn he was looking down at us.
